    Advice with car charger

Hi, I’m after some advice for an existing car charger that’s on one of our newly inherited sites. We have a Rolec 2x 7.2kw pedestal charger, just the basic model, no o-pen detection or anything like that. Whoever installed it only ran a 32A supply to it so if both sockets are in use it trips...

    Advice on basic alarm.

Hi. I've been asked to fit an alarm that will give audible/visual warning if an infra red beam is broken between 2 points. It will be in a warehouse environment fitted indoors and I plan to fit them about 5m high to steel uprights about 15m apart. This is a standalone alarm only not part of...

    Saddle / Fixing Spacings

Sounds to me like they're getting the distances confused with flexible conduit (copex). 250mm spacings on plastic would look stupid.

    crap at customers house

What is an acceptable amount of time you have to have been working around someones house before you are allowed to go for a crap? There's times when I've been busting and I'm thinking I have never met these people before and I've only been round their house 2 minutes but I need to go for a sly...

    electricians spanner?

The tool kit we were first issued with when I started college had a 19mm/ 22mm spanner. That comes in useful for tightening 20s glands. Surprisingly I still have it 20 yrs on, one of the few bits of original kit I still have.

Recently on a job in a new office build, office totally finished apart from a small couple of extras. No one else in the building apart from me and the client who popped his head in for a couple of minutes each morning. Had to wear steel toe caps and high viz.
