Discuss What is a very secure connector that can be taken off/put on very easily? in the DIY Electrical Advice area at ElectriciansForums.net
Sorry, I am not very educated in electronics and I am not sure what those mean. If you could explain what they are I can find the answers for you. Thanks for helping! There are lots of plug and socket arrangements that are securely mated together by clips or screw threads.
What is the power rating, size and number of cores in the cable?
Do you think they will understand what that means?Throw us a bone!

I'm modifying a lightsaber, the cables run from the circuit board with the button up and turn on the lights in the blade. Currently it runs directly through the hilt to the blade but, I would like to change this so the blade can be taken on and off but also stay secure while it is being used.ok, lets start with what are you building, and what is the cable going to be used for?
See just above this reply. Thanks!Ah, didn't notice the country! It was better when we had the flags showing.
OP - as above, there are connectors to suit every need, but we would need more info.
Would that be secure enough for a full swing or battle?3.5mm audio plug would be a simple method.
Same plug and socket you use for your headphones.
Okay. Thank you very much James.Give it a try, they are cheep so worth a go.
