Hello everyone,
I could not find any info on the forum so I am putting ths querry out as a new post.
I came across this tool and I was wondering if anyone can tell me what it is used for?
Cheers :)
I've got a cooker hood extractor, it only has a live and neutral cable, I've only got a single socket to install it. Can I put a 13A plug on the end of it?
Our toilet extractor has, or so I thought, been failing (delayed startup, bit intermittent) for some time, and yesterday it finally stopped working. Vent-Axia Silhouette 100T.
It's going to be a bit of a pain to replace, so I though I would check the connections first just in case. Imagine my...
Hi,
I after opinions on which M Class dust extractor is better for chasing and coreing holes.
I have narrowed it down to either the Bosch GAS35 AFC or the Metabo ASR35.
Any one used them both?
Does anybody no what else I can do to help rectify the lighting issues. I have tried moving the contacts for the bulbs but no joy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Looking to install an extractor fan for a client. Issue is that they have a child that sleeps in an adjacent room and they like to keep the bathroom light on but obviously not with the fan going. The obvious solution is to switch off the fan using the isolator but this switch is going to be...
Our extractor fan was making a very loud noise when it is on. Stopped this by putting more pressure on it with duct tape but means it is stopping the fan from moving. Is there any problems with blocking the extractor fan from moving? Will it short circuit or anything?

Hi,
I can't find a manual for the extractor fan I'm removing to replace on the ceiling of my bathroom.
It is a timed extractor fan with 3 points which I imagine means I just need to match the correct cables to the new fan.
I don't understand what the meaning of each point is on the old fan to...

Hey,
I'm looking to smartify my extractor fans in toilets/bathrooms for two reasons really
1) I currently leave the light on the let the fans run to bring humidity down, I'd rather it did this automatically
2) I want to smartify my lights, and I don't want the fans to be on permanently.
I've...
Hello,
We moved into a new property 5 months ago and there is an extractor fan in the bathroom that has never worked. This weekend I decided to have a crack at fixing or replacing it. I'm new to DIY so bear with me here!
Firstly, there is no isolator switch for this fan as far as I can tell...
My client wants a wall fitted extractor fan for their bathroom. Normally i fit the isolator outside above the door but the client is against this. Is there any reason why it can not go above the fan at high level so zone 3.
I can not find anything saying you can not but i can not find anything...
Hi
I need some advice should I try to fix this isolation switch for the extractor fan or buy a new one. The switch part of the product has come off. It seems it was previously attached into the plate using some resin of some sort. Over time it became loose and has come off. I can manually insert...
Hi we have just had two new extractor fans installed, one in the bathroom, one in the toilet, I am sure they are correctly wired, however the run on timers are not working, just goes on and off with the light, the toilet one is not working at all :( I have tried switching the wires for the...
Hello everyone,
Just hoping to check to see if this has been done correctly. Had a bathroom fitted and had an extractor fan put in by the bathroom fitter (I assume he did not use an electrician for this part). The fan I got was one with a timer. We discussed it being on for 30 min after. I...
HI
I'd originally planned to have an mk grid switch located just above the worktop with four modules and each module a DP switch to isolate fridge, cooker fan, dishwasher and washing machine. Each switch would feed a spur to a single socket for each of those appliances. This is on the kitchen...
