DIY - Apartment wrong 4-prong 220v wiring, how to fix myself?

Hello all, I'm an amateur DIY home-owner that recently moved into an apartment for a 6-month military assignment and these maintenance workers here are clearly incompetent and just do the bare minimum at EVERYTHING, including electrical work. So I moved in here and my dryer had the 3-prong...

Just been told to introduce myself.....

HI! I'm a disabled guy, Cerebral Palsy, Hydrocephalus, Dyspraxia and Asperger's, who's been put into (basically) a one-room flat, there is a second room but it's far too cold for general use. So I just keep this room warm with a lovely plug-in heater - it looks a bit like a radiator but it's got...

Can I add a spur socket myself in Scotland?

The socket already there is RCD protected and isn't a spur already. I have a socket tester so everything would be done properly then tested. Am I allowed to carry out this work myself? I can't find anything clear on doing this in Scotland, only England and Wales.

    Can I fix this myself?

Hey, does anyone know if I can fix this myself? I’ve tried turning the white plastic screw but even with that removed the cable doesn’t move through the brass coloured lamp part.

    Back to basics (confused myself)

Decided to have a browse through onsite guide and something struck me with disconnection times. Maybe I'm missing something obvious but onsite guide and bs7671 states that a disc time of not more than 5 secs is permitted for: Final circuits exceeding 32A. So does that mean a...
