Hello, I understand that from the 15th of June testing and commissioning of vents and fans is now compulsory and that also since last year any works regarding fans needs to be notified to building control under part F.
I assume that this can be done as a NAPIT contractor registered with EAS...

In a kitchen area is there any requirement to have an extract fan as well as a hood ? Am l correct in thinking the hood be sufficient - from a building regs point of view ?
On my plans I've got a hood and a separate wall fan specified by the architect...
Does anyone know the rules regarding fans and rewires .Been to look at a potential rewire and the existing building has no fans in kitchen(which is limited for space with 2ft wall)and bathroom(which has a flat roof with roof window) so has ventilation. Looked on the Gov planning portal website...
