Good morning,
I recently decided to buy an Amperis AK-30 three-phase relay test equipment device and although I don't control it well yet, it seems good, since it is able to analyze all types of relays (current, voltage, frequency, power, impedance, harmonics, distance, ...)
The truth is that...
Hey all,
I'm trying to restore some switches in a house that's only nine years old in place of some terrible motion sensors.
History is quite unknown, but considering the placement of some switches, it seems the developer is somewhat to blame for the peculiarity!
All the wires behind where...
So this is a question around my woodworking workshop. I have a dust collector which is connected up to various machines around the shop and want to be able to switch it on with a simple remote control I carry with me.
I purchased this relay from Amazon:
QIACHIP Universal Wireless Relay Module...
I am trying to add additional exterior lights to me car.
The battery is located to the rear of the car, rather than trailing wires right through the car. Can I wire the relay into the jump start terminals that are present in the engine bay? Would this still provide power for this?
Hello everyone,
I have a goldsmith oven to which I had to change an SSR relay because when it reached 475 degrees centigrade the temperature increase stopped. Since the oven must reach 800 degrees in about two hours, I have to solve the problem.
I changed all the main components to the oven...
I am trying to replace a mechanical switch from an OLD ice machine with an electronic timer. The existing switch has only 3 wires, a Black Power Wire, Blue Normally Open and Orange Normally Closed. The existing timer is activated by a capillary tube attached to the freezing tray. When power...
Hi every one. I have a NC relay with the below features which is written on the relay:
Input voltage:12V dc
Output switching voltage: 220V ac
Output switching current: 5 amp
Can I use this relay for a 400V ac, 0.1 amp Output case?
Can the relay stand up to this high voltage?
Thanks
I had a electrician look and apparently the relay is stuck so the pump keeps running even when not calling for hot water. We already replaced the Honeywell timer and that made no difference prior to calling electrician so its definitely a stuck relay. He said he couldnt get a replacement relay...
HI,
Hoping someone can help me here as I am a novice. This is on a vehicle so I hope thats ok but I think it pertains. Long story is I have a old truck that has a valve that went bad and I cant get them anymore. It has a switch on the dash that has a single wire back to the valve that only has...
Thanks for looking at my question
I have a vehicle that I charge my trailer battery with. The charge circuit is 10 metres via an andeson plug rear of vehicle.
The cable size is 25mm2 and I'm wanting to fit an ignition fired relay to the circuit. Trouble is the standard 80a relay is a spade...
Hi there
Complete novice electrical wise. I am refurbishing an old 1950s Injection Moulding machine and looking to replace the Power Timer Relays. So far with no success myself and two attempts. It appears I need some expert help. I would love direction on the type of timer I need and a link to...
Iv wired in lots of regular Y & S plan heating systems with the regular one pump. However this job i’m going to tomorrow (not seen it yet) has 4 Heating Zones and 1 Hot water Zone, the plumber said i need to ensure when one zone runs it doesn’t back feed and cause another zones pump to run, he...
Ive got a problem with relay coils shorting out.
24v DC coils, measure 1k ohm
As soon as I apply voltage they short out and put the power supply into protection
System has been working fine, until a detector went into safety and opened the circuit cutting the supply to the relay's coil...

I live in Indonesia, the voltage for residential buildings ranges from 220 V to 230 V, I need help with the installation of the Schneider products. Here is another link to the thread about the installation of Surge Arrester in Picture 1, which is related to the installation discussed...
On my boat, I want to connect my DC-to-AC inverter to a 120vac bus normally powered by shore-side power (power grid).
I DON'T want that shore-side power to feed back into my inverter. When I connected the inverter output to the live, shore-powered bus the inverter alarms ("AC OVERLOAD") and...
I'm looking to expand my knowledge of relays. Specifically at this point in time, how to know what relay I need for what job.
An example for the moment is an industrial dust extraction system that I'd like to switch on and off with an esp microcontroller (5v).
Anyone willing to enlighten me?

Custom hot tub with a spa pack controller. Everything is 3 wire (red, black, white) 220V. Everything is grounded with lugs.
Goal: I have two jet pumps and one air blower controlled by the spa pack. I would like to use a relay system to prevent the air blower from turning on unless one or...
Hey everyone,
I am new here and by no means an electrician.
I have a solenoid valve that needs to turn off when my ignition turns on. I also would like to turn on the solenoid with a switch when the valve is needed.
Here is my attempt to wire a relay to achieve the needed task.
