Hi Guys,

Working in shops and offices.

Company is insisting using 110v tools and where possible, battery equipment.

I would have thought that 230v + 30mA RCd would be more than safe.

Believe that the 17th edition relaxed the rules on 110v tools (55-0-55)

Your thoughts gents please.

It did indeed, but, and it is a big but, ultimately it is up to the main contractor/companies who have the final say, and if after they have done their risk assessments etc..etc. they as company policy require 110V tools (55-0-55) then that is what you will have to use if you are working for them.
When in Rome and all that.
 
apart from the safety aspect, a 3.3KVA transformer is ideal for clouting plumbers with.
