Hi everyone, client has a light fitting where 12 individual pendants hang in a grid formation, there are no ceiling roses as such, just cover plates where the flex goes through the ceiling, I assume these offer strain relief. So I basically have to create a 13 way maintenance free junction to connect all 12 to the supply. Any thoughts on best way to achieve this? Multiple wagos in an appropriate box?
Cheers

It might be easier to group it in to 3 sets of 4 lights or similar then daisy-chain those junction boxes. That way each box only has 5 (end) or 6 (middle, fed one) cables entering it.

If you're attempting to get to 1 box, that assumes that all the flexes will reach to 1 central point, is that the case?

If I was doing it it, I'd either daisy chain around them all individually or group them in 3's or 4's.

I think the flexes come in what ever length the customer specifies, doing it in one place just means less making good in the ceiling afterwards, I've put draw wires through to one location pre plastering, so just one hole will need making good after 2nd fix

thanks for your ideas, I was thinking wago boxes would be the solution, just wanted to see if anyone else had ideas!! Cheers all!

If you need to centralise them all it might be worth looking at WAGO DIN rail type connections, but you would have to research which ones are MF.

You want one of them in the loft if all the lights are off one switch in a central position. They do dosmaller ones down to 3/4 ways I believe

just seen he said MF. Couple of Wago XL boxes maybe?
Id be trying to convince the customer to have an access hatch in the ceiling and the clik box above

Or

Although not MF I'd have more faith in a glanded adaptable box with din rail connectors, just write MF on it with a sharpie.

Have you thought of the Surewire system?Surewire are pre-wired maintenance free lighting electrical junction boxes that have been designed and developed to be a replacement for single junction boxes, the loop-in ceiling rose system and downlighter junction boxes.
