Hi, I am currently halfway through my second year of a part time C&G 2330 Electrical Installation course and my parents have kindly offered to buy me my test equipment for christmas. We use Martindale continunity testers at college(not sure of the model) but the tutor tells us that these aren't the best. With so many options out there I was wondering if anyone has some advice on which 17th edition/Part P testers or complete kits I should be looking at.
I have explained to my parents that they aren't cheap but they seem happy enough to assist me in my new career :D

advise megger 1552 or 1553. go with the best. why buy a skoda when your folks will buy you a jag.

Also agree with the others and go for the megger mft 1552 or 1553.

Thanks for all of the advice guys, a few of the guys at college have also been recommended the Megger MFT1553, so it must be a good one.

Well I took the plunge and bought myself a Megger MFT1553, ordered Monday and arrived last night; very fast delivery, and thanks to Lenny and test-meter I got a 5% discount. Every little helps. Cheers guys.
