Hi everyone does anyone know if its possible to do pay and sit exam only for the 18th edition in kent/essex/se London or East Sussex area?
I don't have amd3 upgrade to my 17th qualification any help appreciated

I have just done the one day course and I have not done a Regs exam since the 17th Ed come out. It is a requisite that you have done the latest 17th Ed amendment but speak to them directly and you may be able to swing it as I did. You need to be pretty clued up on the Regs though as the one day course is all but pointless. Just to brag I got 59 out of 60 correct:D
It is all about knowing your way around the Regs.

I didn't do so well as you @westward10 just got 90%. But then there was the question, for instance, What IP rating should a EV point have
IPX4 - IP4X - IPX6 - IP44. If you look that up...stupidly I choose IPX4 which is true, but not correct. Maybe a bit of panic reminding myself 2 mins per question all the time. Anyway it is a pass. I did the one day course. Interestingly the pass mark pre xmas is 60% which is low generally for any C&G exam. Apparently this is going up after xmas to a more normal 70/75% in line with the usual pass marks. To be honest I rarely consult the regs. All the work I do is settled and familiar work with the regs already known in that area. OSG yes a bit more.
