Hopefully a quick one.
As the title says, saw '1xAL25/16' on the side of a SWA like cable.
I know its an armored, one core, aluminium conductor, but is it 25mm² or 16mm²?

Any help appreciated.

You sure it isn't split concentric, a 25mm line conductor for a split concentric will have a cpc with a csa of 16mm.

Thanks.
That would make sense.
I'm guessing it would be a 25mm² Aluminium line conductor and 16mm² copper PEN conductor?
It's been used to serve multiple flats in a DNO system.

If its a DNO cable then likely to be as you say a 25mm aluminium line with 16mm copper concentric PEN.
