2-Way 2-Gang - One of them not working

I'm not an electrician and I'd like some advice.
I'm trying to troubleshoot a wiring problem.

I have a 2-way (2 gang) outlet on the wall with 4 sets of wires.
This outlet is working well and a couple of the brown wires show voltage (live wires).
I've shown these with arrows on the attached image (WorkingK1 image).

On the other outlet of the 2-way system, I have a non-working switch. This has two sets of 3 core wires. No wire shows any voltage at all.

Someone from another forum advised me to test for resistance continuity.
So I connected the black and grey wires at the none-working switch with each other and then placed the Multimeter probes on the grey and black on the working outlet (see blackgrey image).

There was no reading on the multimeter. It didn't even register a reading.

Does this mean that wires are severed in between somewhere?

If so, is there anything I can do?

None. Just the 2 switches on a 2-way setup.

Do you have a picture of the first switch connections before you disconnected them?
The switch looks like it has a N connection, but i don't know if any of the available cables are neutral.
I assume the 3 cores (brown/black/grey) run directly between the first and second switch positions? (might not be)

First idea would be to reconnect everything as it was, but use standard 2 gang 2 way switches, to rule out your smart/dimmer switches from being the fault.

Yes, I took pictures of the top and bottom of the switch before disconnecting, which I have attached.
The terminals are Live, S, Switched Live.

The other side had a switch which was intermittent anyway. I thought it was a stiff button, but it may have been the wires all along.
