Hi I have looked and tested a 2 way lighting in a domestic front room. When one switch is on the other can show 230 volts on all strappers and then in reverse when switched??

One switch is correct or the other depending on how it is switched any idea please Thanks Ian. :19: Should be simple!!!

2 way switches are never on or off. they are either in 1 state or the other.

has the switch wire been installed across L1 and L2 there are several ways to wire a 2 way common to live on one switch and common to light one other switch strappers in between or 3 core to each switch and switch wire across L1 and L2 which you'll find a 1.5 and 3 core in one switch and just 3 core in other, you need to bell out the common and check to see if the colours correspond with each switch
