Hi, quick question, how does the metering company know how much Leccy you've put into the grid. Just wondering how they know how much to pay you.
I'm just waiting for my assessment after my first install and loads of questions keep popping into my head!!!! Got to be prepared for customer questions I suppose!

If you are talking about a normal small domestic situation then it is 'deemed' that your customer exports 50% of what they generate, so they get paid for exporting 50% of what is on the total generation meter.
Regards
Bruce

50% for everything other than hydro - which is deemed at 75%.

Also note that these figures are written into the FiTs legislation, it's not up to the supplier to decide.
