just been to a job and was asked to check a 3 bar fire to see if it was safe
i pat tested and it was fine but someone mentioned that these were illegal.
i know they are in bathrooms!!! but i was wondering about in the living room????

Dunno about being illegal!! bit of a fire risk maybe if used for drying clothing or maybe a newspaper could blow against it.They should be used with a guard same as an open fire.
 
it does have its own mesh but a newspaper wouls still catch if it was against it
my mum's had the same one for twenty years.
still going strong
