I have been given a trennjaeger cold cut saw recently however I only have single phase available at my place and the saw is 3 phase, discounting a motor change as its a flanged motor with odd length splines etc. and would cost a fortune to replace, I have been left with the option of using a phase converter.
Anyway the machine has 2 motors, one is a dietz dual speed 415v 0.9/1.55kw, the other is a small suds pump, no details on sizing as the sticker has worn off, allegedly it has only worked on the slower speed for some time as the speed control switch is broken however it is fine on this speed (at least on true 3 phase it was)
I know for a motorun phase converter very cheap (2.0hp), however I'm not sure whether it will be up to the task, I have heard that they would not like running 2 motors? I have also been told that the motorun static converters are supposedly better then some of the others available and may be up to the job, just wondered if anyone had any experience using static converters to run 3 phase equipment?
