Can someone give the settings for testing 20a and 32a 3 phase extension leads

Continuity of conductors

Are you PAT testing them?

Tag and Test I think they call it over the Pond. Same basics of testing though!!

We have them at work , buy the scafftag type label for test dates they tie wrap on and are very hard wearing
Give it an I d
Visual check , must have metal braiding if on construction site or engineering shop floor etc (type 7 cable) or sy which we like for portable equipment ( some people don’t like to use )
Continuity tests
Ins resistance
Fill out ppm sheet
Store in folder or on pc
Job done

Also,check for correct configuration,as a lead with a male type plug at both ends,could pass inspection,in regard of how it is fitted.

Industrial sites are notorious,for "modified" leads,with the 110/240 16A "universal-with-the-nib-removed" being common

As written in electricity at work act
Keep records of electrical equipment that may cause harm and keep in safe working condition
This is how we comply with national grid , united utilities etc
And we get audited on this to make sure we are complying

The dislikers what do you suggest
