I would like to know if a 4mm SWA cable can be used for the d.c side or the installation. It is a bout 7 meters and one string is required.
 
dual core, yes.

Opinions differ as to the wisdom of bonding the sheath - I work on not if it's an isolating transformer inverter, maybe if it's a TL inverter.
 
Yes, I noticed some old posts about the sheath. It said it was only for mechanical protection and not electrical protection so it is not an issue with d.c cables.
