Sanity check, as I've never used them.

Do 5 amp round pin plugs have internal fuses?
 
You do get them with fuses but most don't have them. Do you really need fuses to protect the trailing cable, most of the time with a properly designed circuit even if the trailing cable becomes damaged it will still meet disconnect times.
 
MK 505 (the traditional triangular style) does not but 641 does. MK were one of the few brands who have offered the option of a fused 5A plug since forever; most did not. Note that the fuse is a BS646 type as used in shaver adaptors, not BS1362.
 
So the plug top bottom attaches to the plug top top to form a plug top. That then plugs in to a socket top which is attached to a socket top back box. The socket top box is fitted into a wall top, but usually at the bottom so the socket top is fitted to the wall top bottom.

Am I getting the hang of this now?
