ive been asked to fit 2 x 500w outside floods without p.i.r's inside a garage to replace the flourescents he has so that he can see better as he has some sort of disability.
I know it is assumed that a lighting circuit has 10 points and each to 100w which totals 1000w max.
But would 2 x 500w be ok? the garage has its own consumer unit etc.
Any help or advice would be greatly recieved. Thanks

Hey.

On their own 6A circuit these would be fine.

Cheers.

2 500w floods will pull 4.2 amp so thats fine just mind they are not pointing at anything likley to catch fire after al l500w is a lot of heat close up.
