Same here I answered every question, I had a bind block on a couple of questions and was shocked about the IR calculation only being worth 3 marks, would like to have another look over the exam paper.

I sat it with ETS in Birmingham, great course, great trainers, hopefully they got me through it. Didn't think it was to bad, a couple I had to go back to, real head scratchers, but put answer down for everything, admittedly this included a bit of waffle in places. But I like waffles. Good Luck to everyone.

No it wasn't a sarcastic remark. ETS are the best for teaching. I have done my 2391, 2392, 2393 and my 2382-12. I'm also doing my 2396 design & verification course in November and my exam is December.
The pass rate at ETS is of a high standard.

Yes it's hard going, but will give you an even greater understanding and knowledge on how to design Installations. It's a open book, so you have your BS7671, OSG and GN3, you need a good understanding of the regs and maths which is about 20 % of the exam. I would say the project is the hardest part, but if you are committed to studying then you won't have a problem.
where did you do your 2391 course? All my training I did at www.Electricatraining.co.uk every exam I passed with them.

I have just booked with them on their December 2391 course, can't wait!

Some advice Read page 89-107 of the OSG also get yourself the IET exam success book for 2391. Practice drawing the Earth Fault Loop Impedance Paths and fully label them aswell, use correct terminology. How good are you at testing cossie400 between 1-10 10 being the highest?

Thanks for the advice!
If I'm honest about a 7/10, practically I have always done pretty well, it's always the theory when under exam conditions that get me, I just get nervous over the simplest of things!.
I did take the 2391 straight after finishing my apprenticeship in 2000, I passed the practical but failed the theory, and like the stupid idiot I was at the time I didn't crack on and re do it, it's been nagging the back of my mind since lol.

So if you have passed your practical you won't be required to do it again? Have you any paperwork at all to say you passed it. If so bring it with you to ETS you might even see me at centre I'm known as the Axeman long story.

They have already tried that route mate, Lynda has been very helpful and tried a couple of different numbers that have appeared on my Certs but unfortunately none of them can be linked to me passing the practical, and to be fair it was 12 years ago so I don't mind doing it again as it can only benefit me.
Do you work there or something?!!

I'm friends with ETS and they have helped me a lot.
you should do well in exam. People struggle with the 3 steps for ring final circuit, but like I said read the OSG constantly and it will help you a lot, also the precautions & preconditions before doing IR testing.
Contact me if you have any questions anytime and I will try to help you where possible.
