Excuse my ignorance but i am a bit confused when searching jobs. After completing 2365 l3 i still don't know what to look for? As an apprentice or as an electrician mate?

Thanks anyway

I'm not sure you would be an apprentice having done your level 3 but I suppose you could be a level3 apprentice.

I started out as a mate but as a subbie and did nearly a year on site before going to night school whilst continuing on site every day and gradually taking on more complex tasks.

I was really interested, did a lot of reading, got on some really interesting multi million pound jobs and being 30 years old when I started, and working for my sister's boyfriend all helped as I was trusted and quickly given more and more responsibility.

Everyones situation is different, it might help if we knew a little more about yours?

I tot it would be better to have some education first which i did. In January i ll do 17 ed. Haven't got any experience really but i would love to find job somewhere in london asap.

Could probably get on as an agency labourer on a commercial build in London with no experience but be prepared to spend your days carting unistrut up stairwells and doing miles and miles of tray for 8quid an hour, its a foot in the door tho!

I started out pretty much the same way as Voltz, thought I was the only one that had done it back to front!
