Can you recommend a good make of PIR for outside LED’s please.
The Screwfix ones lasted a month or so before they filled with water. The current ones from B&Q lasted a bit longer but after every time we have heavy rain they are constantly on and off.

Need to have adjustable angle with 3m range. Main thing is to actually be waterproof!

Thanks.

As above. Stand the rigours of the north sea coast.
Edit . Steinel. I haven't used Hager PIR's but their products are good.

Another vote for Steinel - great products. If you're looking for something a little more budget friendly I quite often use Eterna ones, you can get them for about £12 online and I've not had an issue with one yet (probably fitted about 20 to date over the last 3 or so years).

The screwfix ones are dire. They changed the make they supply a few years ago. The original ones they used to sell seemed very reliable. I fitted many of them without issue.
The ones they used to sell are these:
Also, they have 2 entry points for cables rather than the new screwfix ones which only have one.

Gawd, the newer version they flog are really poor, I replaced two of the much older ones a few months ago with these infernal water buckets, a week or two of rain put paid to both, the feeble plastic cement around the window leaks and the pcb conformal coating may as well not be there.

Luckily I was able to put the old ones back in service, relay change on one and new LDR sensor on the other,, but its only a temp solution until I find decent replacements and then waiting for the rain to stop.......
