Hello, I have an outside cable going from the house to a shed can I cut and splice a outside socket into it?
Socket will go on the back of the shed

Do you know what is feeding the cable?

I.e. is it on a dedicated circuit or is it fed from a fused connection unit (FCU) off one of your socket circuits?

Looks like 2.5swa to me...

so long as it’s not fed via the house lighting circuit, I don’t see any issue feeding a single outdoor socket

(usual caveats apply like is it rcd protected)
