Hum, I would say that my post is electrical in nature and on topic as it quotes the OP.

TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU MATE, OP : Is this Commercial or Domestic ? If Domestic then before Changing or Adding a Consumer unit you need to be Part P certified or Notify your LABC. As far as i'm aware Screwfix staff are not technically trained & therefore are not competent to give you this advice, you need to consult a Good Qualified Electrician before going any further.

Hi Murdoch,
The comment wasn't aimed specifically at you. It was aimed at preventing a repeat performance of a thread I had to close two minutes ago.

@Specialist this is domestic, in my costumer house, so this job do for my some certyficated electrician... i just wanna ask firs, if i can't use this fuseboard its fine, i just buy other one, standard combination, RCD + Main Switch, i ask because i have one, so i think i can save the money but if not, i need to buy new, or maybe buy just Main swich and fit inside ??

Would'nt it be easier in the long run to just upgrade your CU to a 17th edition board that had the required amount of breakers ? rather than have 2 CU's.

this is the best solution, but problem is i have just 30cm width so that way i need to fit to separate fuseboard, its relay hard access.

Ah now i see your problem, at the moment i can't get on the Screwfix website to check out the CU you've bought maybe 1 of the other guys will have more luck & be able to give you the help you need. If it has RCD protection though I can't see why there would be a problem with useing it.
