The General

I've been asked to go out and look at a job - wiring in a Heat Mat to go under some tiles (bathroom I think, but not been out to visit yet.)

Firstly, I've never done one of these before, so any pearls of wisdom would be greatfully received.
Secondly, I'm assuming that a 'Park Home' (static caravan) will come under the Special Locations section - or is that just 'mobile' caravans?

Obviously I'll need to read the instructions that come with the mat/control unit, but I'm guessing that it'll need a (switched)FCU to feed it. Is it likely to need heatproof cable like you'd fit on a storage heater, or will standard PVC cable be okay?
Also, if it is in the bathroom, would it be better to have the switch & control unit situated outside the bathroom as I'd imagine that it'll be a pretty small room, so might struggle with zones!?

I always say that "You don't know what you don't know..." so apologies if I'm asking daft/obvious questions, but I figured it was best to arm myself with all the information before I go out!

Many thanks in advance for any advice/guidance.

Well a "Park Home" that is static certainly does not come under classification of either a "Caravan" or a "Mobile Unit" in the BS 7671-2008 definition section, and as always been a source of discussion on many a dull night.

Not sure what other bodies of authority feel
