Hi,

I need to rewire our Sky Box and CCTV System and I wish to use the existing conduit which currently houses five 240 volt main lines running for about 30 feet.

I'll be hoping to consolidate in this same conduit Ethernet cabling x 2, RJ-11 x 1, AV Cable x 2 and Sky Coax x 2. I am concerned about electromagnetic interference and therefore wondered if anybody has a similar setup running smoothly?

Many warm regards.

Welcome to the forum Markie Mark.

I've moved this thread to the Sky TV forum for you.

Power and signal/data cable should not be grouped together in the same conduit. From memory, I think the recommended separation distance is 350mm if comms cable is unscreened.

use a separate conduit.

Yes, i'll run another conduit. D.Skelton recommended a uniform spacing of 350mm. I'll probably run conduit along the other side, away from power lines, I thought it would save time using existing conduit but I now understand that this is not practicle.

Thanks all for your help.
