Hello, I am new here and looking for your advice for my poor friend. He owns a 3 bedroom apartment, which has been turned to a cannabis farm by his 'tenant'. It's a big mess to sort out but since police have asked SSE to cut the electricity supply of the property, how to reconnect the power supply has become a mystery as he is calling different parties to help but still have no clear pictures how this gonna work. The property needs power for the repair asap.

Any advice would be really appreciated!

An electrician is required to remove all the dangerous wiring, repair any damage caused by the Pot heads, certify, and notify the LBC for the works that were required, and probably carry out an EICR,EIC which veredever is required by the insurance company, if Pot Head damage is covered.

As above, the wiring would need inspecting and a report raised, EICR. Once any safety critical works have been completed and certified you can request the power be reconnected by the supplier.
