Hi. I've been asked to fit an alarm that will give audible/visual warning if an infra red beam is broken between 2 points.
It will be in a warehouse environment fitted indoors and I plan to fit them about 5m high to steel uprights about 15m apart.
This is a standalone alarm only not part of anything else.
Just wondering what products are out there to achieve this as its not something I'd normally do.

use a 12V alarm PSU. power the detectors direct. use the detector alarm output to trigger a timer relay . r
 
not offhand. basically you need a dual beam IR sender and receiver with a range greater than the distance apart that you fit them. something like :
