thanks mate. i cant believe i have to use a socket adapter when it comes with a mains adaptor and its so expensive you can toggle the voltage settings between p-n p-e n-e. you would think they would do this for resitance. cheers patrick

You don't need to use an adaptor, just swap the leads over that plug into the Fluke. The plug end stays as it is and whichever 2 you want to measure between are the 2 you plug into the unit. It's not that clever that it knows which colour lead is plugged into which colour socket on the top ;)

Thanks !! I have a kewtech S/I/A, and a 1652b. When I push in the leads to the sia they arnt that tight, and if i geta reading, i am in the habit of giving them another push. Brilliant tip !!(the plug will give good contact every time.)

Exactly, the plug lead is probably the best made bit in the whole kit so might as well use it :) I've also connected the terminals of a single plug socket together to make it quick and reliable to zero it and carry it in the box, just a tip and works better than "winding a bit of wire" around the pins as recommended in the instructions!

You must have the springy "ZERO Adaptor" missing from your kit, it allows you to push fit the lead prongs in and use on the plug lead also.
