Hello everyone i'm new to this so go easy. I need advice as to the best way to get a permanent/long contract job. I have over 12 months experience on industrial / commercial sites. My qualifications include 17th edition, 2391, PAT, cscs, Ipaf, own hand tools and my own transport, Ive sent letters and chased around in circles, and agencies well i wont say what i want to. I live in Milton Keynes but willing to work a lot further. An agency even said i was over qualified as a mate but thats rubbish. I just need a break. someone must need a mate some where.

many thanks

Personally, if you feel comfortable with your abilities, stay with the agencies but tell them you have more experience. The 2391 is a good ticket to have. Hang on in there!

arent you classed as an improver with all those qualifications ??

best to get your jib rating whilst your waiting and just keep plugging away mate its not easy getting a permanent job especially as most the people are getting made redundant with the credit crunch looming.

Open that yellow pages and phone every electrical firm you never know you might just find that guy who needs a bit of extra help and cant afford to fork out for a full qualified sparks

good luck dude
