Hi everyone!

Got somewhat confused with an energenie master/slave switch set today.
The downstairs switch has (I’m sure I don’t need to say but will just in case):
Constant live
L1 (switch)
L2 (switch)
L2 (switch)
This switches on a hall light and stair light.
The upstairs switch is wired as usual - common and switch lives.

The energenie master switch doesn’t seem to make much sense - it uses a slave connection, live, l1, lx and l2

The slave switch uses a slave connection, and also has a line in and out.

The instructions are not particularly clear to follow and wonder if anyone could help? I have no problem getting a qualified electrician to do it, though I’d still like to know how ;)

Hi bud,you are going to struggle,to get a step by step,on this one,as there are other factors to consider, besides the obvious...

What is the depth of the backbox receptacle? if that is insufficient, the rest may have to wait:)

Hi Peg!

I noticed that the switch was waaay deeper than the back box, so have dutifully dug out and installed a deeper one ;)

Glad it isn’t just me, all said!

post up a pic of the wiring instructions.

afaik, it's Live into L and sw?L into L1 on master,then a 3core to slave .
