age of double socket

Does anyone know roughly when this double socket was likely to have been installed? There's some late 60s/early 70s mem single sockets also in the property but I've not seen one of these before.

That doesn’t look like a fixed socket as such. Looks like it should be on the end of an extension lead.
is it rear entry or bottom entry. Ooh er matron!

I bet there's a flex under the carpet and it's plugged in somewhere.

That would make sense - there was another socket on the opposite side of the room with something plugged in and the flex going under the floor...
