Agency work

I am currently in full time work, but need more time to visit family abroad. The 5 annual weeks I get is not enough.

I am looking at working for agencies doing part time contacts of 2- 3 duration. What is the current situation with available work out there?? I am in the North West area..

agreed^^^^^ agencies will book you on a job for monday start, then ring at 4pm on the friday to cancel, leaving you no time to find alternative work. mess you about over wages, and as the agency "scum" on the site, you'll get blamed for everything that goes wrong.

Thats if your lucky, in the past i have been on the way to a job to be phoned up saying its been cancelled! I only ever use agencies if im desperate
