Hi all, started wiring an alarm today. its my first hardwired one, usually use the easy wirefree jobbies. Anyway is there common way that the conductors should be wired. IE, should the red be +ve and black -ve and the blue common etc. Its all working fine just worried about if anyone else was to come alaong.

Also some of the sensors will have to be linked between the zones. All of the cables go to the main control box. So if I loop the tamp and RELAY cores?

Hey Oxford.

I usually use the accenta range of alarm kit

The usual way I do it and have seen it done is-

Green+white = tamper circuit
Blue+yellow = zone circuit
Red+black = pos+neg

Yes all sensors can be linked together to create overlapping zones in the panel

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

Cheers, does indeed help. That arrangement makes sense. Im using the same brand, did think that linking would work but with the customer over your shoulder the whole time didn't want to try it till i was certain.

Thanks again
