hi lads just thought i would take this oppo to introduce myself im a plasterer who wants to broaden his horizons and would like to become a qualified electrician,i thought the two professions go well together at the present im a night school doing a course on introduction to electrical installations which apparently gives me a city and guilds in pat testing:confused:i then want to do the required courses to become fully fledged electricain its just a pain that i have to do 2 days and 1 night a week to do this:mad:hence losing money and mouths to feed:)any way less of me moaning great forum fellas

introduction to electrics giving you a city and guilds in PAT testing???!!!:confused:

Love to see the course breakdown of that one!!!!!:p

i have stopped teaching PAT testing to domestic installers unless they have a specific requirement for the qualification

i teach lots of guys like yourselves. Plasterers, brickies, plumber, kitchen fitters etc

2 weeks full time and you get EAL Domestic Electrical Installer (Part P) and your C&G 2382 17th edition wiring regs

These are the minimum quals to join a competent persons scheme. Ok its 1.5K for the course

but most guys:

A) put it against a business expense
B) start earning the money back two weeks after they started:D

Of course, if you wanna earn in a few years time when you finish your 'electrical installations qual in PAT testing', you pays your money, you takes your choice!!!!

and welcome!

Alright mufc,
