Hi All...
i have a little question...
We have Aluminium DC cables connecting onto Copper Busbars, but we car starting to get burning/galvanic oxidation. (the Large combiners are outside in metal cabinets so easily get moisture inside)
But some of it is due to the odd poor connection (lugs not tight enough on the cable or incorrect size of lug used) from install! But if i replace them, i want to do it right the first time.
I have looked at using bi-metal lugs, but they are stupidly expensive!
If i was to use a Aluminium Lug, with Anti-Corrosive Zinc Paste between it and the copper Busbar and stainless steel Bolts/locking washers will this help stop the corrosion? Due to the high DC voltage every connection has to be perfect!
Any thoughts?
thank you!
