that means doing 4 a day .

[h=6]Description[/h] This is an advertisement by Bromak who are operating as an employment business. We are looking for an experienced 2391 ECS Carded Electrician to start immediately in the Manchester area on a 1-2 month temporary contract. Duties will include carrying out Periodic Testing on a social housing project. Must have own TESTING Equipment and be qualified upto 17th. Edition and have 2391 Test and Inspection. You will be paid per test 25.00 To Apply for this

"You will be paid per test £25.00"

Begs the question what is the test defined as! maybe there is a zero missing from the ad!

As for doing 4 a day - not on your nelly, I wouldn't sign off 4 PIR's every day for so little money.

Maybe it should say "visual inspection"!!

If they mean 'test' as in a PIR/property, I had a job like that in Knutsford. I was given a list of houses to visit, nothing prearranged, and drive around knocking on doors, "Hello.........."
Lasted a day, didn't even bother getting paid. Total farce.

think i'll phone them ans ask if the installations are all single circuit. £25 per circuit is about right. when you think electrium pay £75 for checking the serial numbers on a few breakers.........

All that training of 4 years apprentice, plus years and years of experience, then topped with the cherry of the 2391, only to arrive at a £25 Inspect and Test? Why are electricians do badly insulted these days? I feel a bit disturbed this week as a couple of similar-type jobs have been thrown at me and I am made to feel as though they're doing me a favour! What's worse, 9 times out of 10 they WILL get someone else to do the for the price they want it. There was a time when electricians took pride in their job because they were (rightly) rewarded handsomely for it. Today's price cutting industry has very nearly destroyed that quality workmanship. 25 quid? cheaper to stay home.

So with travelling an hour a test or a 14 hour day?
Nice!!!
But as said, someone will do it,very sad,its more issueing a cert than actually looking at anything, probably expect you to pre-print the forms and just sign the bottoms!!!

Just rang it, they said the jobs been pulled from them so its not going anymore. I said £25 per circuit and the lad said hold on I'll ask. Come back on phone...the jobs been pulled so its no longer available......

Quality mate well done

Think we need to hound these agencies and make them start realizing we are not a bunch of muppets:iamwithstupid:
