Hi all, another guy who went through mid life crisis and decided to be an electrician. Doing one of these over priced courses but also lucky enough to have found a job with a local electrician learning how to do it in the real world.
Reading these forums there is a lot of mixed feeling towards Part P - if I get on a domestic installer scheme is it worth having part P in addition?
Any views welcomed. There is so much **** out there it is hard to work out what is really needed and what isnt

Cheers buddy.
The idea was to work for myself but the way these courses are sold are a little misleading. Very happy to be working in the real world as there is no way a course can teach you how to work in Grade II listed buildings or churches.

Hey.

Thats a very good point and fair play to you for realising it. You've got the right idea by getting a job with a sparky as there's no substitute for experience.

Good luck.

Lenny.
