A relative of mine has a Wylex NHRS6606 split load CU (i.e. main switch and one RCD), probably from around 2003, and it is fitted with the likes of the NSB32 MCBs. I don't have a picture of the inside, nor can I expect them to safely do that, so I was wondering if anyone knows if the recent range of compact RCBOs (NHXS1B32 and similar) will fit its busbar?

Having looked at a few different sites it appears they will

This doesn't answer your question unfortunately but it's a cool diagram so I thought I'd post it anyway!

It would be a useful diagram, except that most domestic Wylex boards pre-2018 I've seen have a standard floating busbar, which then isn't quite compatible with the NHX range (and isn't even an option on the diagram)

Not sure if that was people installing with non-Wylex busbars due to availability, or that their diagram is not comprehensive.

It's a ridiculous idea to have two slightly different parts available and then expect the end user to pick the right one. I imagine wholesalers aren't happy about having to stock two types either or deal with the returns.

The thing is, the NHX WILL fit on the standard busbar, but is enough mm out to stop the lid closing, so it's just asking for people to bodge it when it doesn't fit....

It's put Wylex on my list of boards to avoid for years now, but I suspect my non-purchase of 2-3 boards a year is not hitting them hard enough in the pocket to make them see reason!
