Need to build a replacement panel controlling controlling site entrance barrier, goes up in morning down at night. Not done many panels but have old panel to replicate for most if it. Problem is I need to add a ore warning alarm (beacon/siren) to warn when the barrier is moving. Any ideas? Found one diagram from an aussie website but not quite what I need

TL;DR
Need diagram to add pre warning system to control panel

Got a 7 day timer to open on a morning and close at night 5 days a week, there are currently limit switches on the mechanical barrier arm for when it reaches maximum limits up and down. Usually all 110v control equipment. Will run automatic automatic manual override keys itch if needed

None as if yet, would need to look into that, been playing about making a pre start system of my own today but havent figured it adding the proximity switches etc. into it yet. Trying to find wiring diagrams to help with it but struggling

To avoid any safety issues and save time you would probably be better buying a proprietory control system and sensors designed and tested for the purpose.
The litigation that will happen should your in house designed and built system fails and injures someone or damages a vehicle is not worth contemplating

Fair comment, just thought it was a decent little project, like I say, don't do many but might have been somewhere to start. Did mention to site about getting a complete system installed
Projects like this are or should I say were a good part of the learning process but then the blame and claim culture came along and people doing this work are more concious of something coming back and biting them on the proverbial so the risk assessments dictate that unless it is tested and type approved has all the appropriate marks then it is better to buy in than build from scratch

One of the proprietory electric gate controls will suit your application coupled with some beam sensors with a time switch and an override switch, the controller can normally be set to a delay operation so any warning devices are operated a few seconds before the barrier moves
