Looking for another apprentice. We are based near Birchington in kent so must be within commutable distance to here. Must be keen and have the willing to learn. If you can drive it would be an advantage.

Most of my work is an average split between high end residential and commercial with the odd bit of light industrial so plenty of scope for a varied apprenticeship:).

I've just taken on an apprentice, so far so good, council are helping fund him as well so can't complain, they pay half his wage for 12 months, do you have similar down your way? Next up is another van and spark with possibly another apprentice, that is the daunting bit, the initial outlay of wages and van expenses etc, any advice as the best way to go about it? I spoke to bank about it but they were looking for me to take out a loan, don't want to commit to a loan when it may only be a bit of funding for a month or 2 until customers pay, have you had to use an overdraft of some sort in this way? How did you get on with gate stuff?
