Discuss Are further qualifications required to install an EV charger? in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Bump.

What is the consensus on this one? Do we need the extra qualification?

Now the ozev/ olev grants don't exist anymore I can’t see any need to have the 2919 qualification, unless part p providers insist on it.

My advice would be to buy the iet code of practice book that walks you through what to do. I did the course and it was basically reading through the book. If the customer is paying in full, no additional qualifications are required.
