But we are living longer......

Sorry hear about your son, but are you getting all the help that you can from the "system" you really need to delve deeper in to what is available where the OH worked one "patient" had a care package that was astronomical.
We live longer but the quality of life is not there. Being chronically ill for the last 20 or 30 years of your life with high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes t not healthy. And people are not thriving in life as a result. They are basically just existing. There should be absolutely nothing sprayed on our food. All food should be organic.

one in 5 kids will have autism in another 5 years. 1 in two people will have cancer. This is a big issue that isn’t going away.

Even vaccines contain aluminium and mercury. This crosses the blood brain barrier and causes autism
Steady on, that has been proved otherwise, autism is a developmental disorder with genetic causes and there turned out from many studies since then, the isn't even a correlation let alone cause between vaccines and autism.

If you cn afford to eat organic then eat organic but check on the definition of organic first as its a fine line, soil association is another option.

The trouble is we need to feed the masses it may be drastic but get rid of benefits and reduce the population as then everyone eventually will have a better life but it won't suit the Socialists or the Capitalists that need an ever increasing population to fund either growth or money in to the system.

Type 2 with some work can be reversed.

I agree that organic is still not totally organic. All we can do is try our best to eat the best we can. 80% of chronic illness can be eliminated just by not eating bad carbs and processed sugar.

It’s in the website. It hasn’t been proven at all. And genetics is also wrong. It is genetic expression. It is our genes that express differently because of the influence that toxic things have on our bodies. We are not born with these problems. Our genes express these problems because of our environments

Yep, you do get used to it-I've had tinnitus for so long that if it disappeared tomorrow I'd struggle to adapt to the silence!
It's quite loud though, I live right next to the M5 and when I go to bed I don't really notice the traffic, mostly the tinnitus! But on the same note I don't sleep well without the noise from the road... Perhaps I'm just insane.o_O

The apartment I have in Germany that I use when working here is under an airport flight path. When I stop somewhere else, it takes a couple of nights getting used to not hearing the jets.

Hi,
I'm replying on behalf of my partner whose account this is. I joined here for him. Yes he is an electrician with Asperger's! ( high functioning Autism) Electrics is his 'specialist subject' . All Autistic people have something they excel at and this is his. ..despite this life is not easy at times. He doesn't do any of this for a start - ie forums, chatting, writing - COMMUNICATING lol infact I do all his communication side of things - I answer phone calls from customer's , I've had to learn the terminology! I type up all his emails, invoices , quotes etc. Don't get me wrong he does talk, he obviously has too, but can be a bit robotic , not good at taking cue's in conversation, keeping it flowing etc. He comes across as friendly but a bit odd and robotic but I almost feel this is a plus sometimes as he knows his stuff and get him on the topic of electrics and he's away, you can't stop him talking! He does do well though despite his Asperger's. I encouraged him to become a sole trader last year and we have gone from strength to strength so although it can be hard ( particularly with the odd tricky customer - he is not good at confrontation or dealing calmly with difficult situations- tends to bolt and leave me to deal with it) it is the best decision we ever made. ...would love to know of your experience's , particularly with the social side?

Great story and great teamwork. At the end of the day nobody is good at everything, regardless of whether they have a disability or not.

My son has recently been diagnosed with autism. obviously now we know all the signs my partner has suggested to me that I have the same quirks in my personality. This has made me think about some of the things I find difficult in my work life. For example feeling overwhelmed and stressed from time to time. Being sensitive to noise. And a few other things. I just wanted to see if anyone on the forum has autism and how it’s affected them at work as an Electrician. How it has been received by workers and bosses etc. Any feedback would be great.
Kind regards

I’m a few years too late, but I’m an approved electrician with Autism. I served a full apprenticeship and 3 years in college. I went to night college to gain my testing qualification. I went on to do my SSSTS and became a foreman.
There’s obviously different levels to it.. but I have an official diagnosis. I am a bit of a nightmare to work with, I expect work to a high quality, I’ve argued with directors over quality of work they’re happy with (which to me was sub par) time keeping.. can’t tolerate lateness.
I’m completely different in work to out of work. I’m highly masked in work which does lead to burnouts. Come across the post and thought I’d let who ever else was looking know that it is possible. Thanks
