Hi, I recently saw a post on Screwfix forum, but it has not been answered and because I have used the same set up would like to check that everything is ok. Please see below for outline:

On installing a new light a few months ago, I made a ceiling rose in the loft using the box and connectors shown here:

Configured 3 main wires power in/power out/switch - where applicable each had their own live, neutral and earth as well as the flex wire. The box is secured in the loft near the entry point in the ceiling below for easy access for maintenance/change of light fixture in future. The initial post on Screwfix has now has got me thinking because they have asked if it is ok that everything is tight and compact inside the blue JB, I too now would like to check that what they are asking is ok. i.e. is it ok everything fits tight inside the box itself?

Everything works fine - all has been wired and connected right. Please can someone confirm if I can leave what I have done as is or should I replace the blue junction box for a larger one which allows for more space inside for the connectors?

Bit concerned now, so your reassurance would be most appreciated.

We don't have a box fill limit in the UK , unlike America and Canada who have a maximum amount of cores you can stuff in a box.

Professional judgement is required in these situations, 3 or 4 1mm lighting cables will fit easily into a standard size wago box or choc box. More than 4 cables and you might need to fit something a bit bigger.
Its all about how neat you dress the cores and just make sure they are not crushed in the box when you snap the lid shut...
