Have checked the docs for my circa 2011 3.6 OUTD and there's no mention of a battery which suggests it's not normally user replaceable.

PS. westieV8 = rover? :)

I am finding ABB after sales service is very poor. it takes at least 6 weeks to get a replacement inverter and they always fail when it is sunny making the customer very annoyed.

Thanks for that! :( Mine died 2 weeks ago after 4 years and 3 months of use with the dreaded/fatal E031 error. Rang ABB and was told a replacement would take 2-3 weeks.

So repalcement took just over 5 weeks - apparently no stock is held in the UK and the replacement refurbished inverters are shipped in a batch from Italy. The replacement shows a build date of wk12 yr16 which is after my inverter failed.
