Aurora Power One PVI 3600 Inverter

We have one of these and whilst getting a 'clock fail' fail message for a while, we also had to keep powering it down and up again each morning to clear a GFI error, and to get it to start generating. We've replaced the battery with the help of aurora power one inverter - https://www.electriciansforums.co.uk/threads/aurora-power-one-inverter.108599/ and set the time and date manually - and so far for three days all has been good and not needed to manually reset it, it is again working as is should. Installation company has gone out of business and the unit is out of warrantee by a few months. Thanks to google and it's link to this forum seems we've solved the problem - Thanks!

GFI means it is detecting an insulation fault on the DC side.

I am guessing a little, but since the battery change no GFI fault, part of my thought process has been it may be have been weather dependant, but the last few days it has been very wet here - and I'm now considering this to, perhaps, be a false indication caused by the low/dead battery - day five since replacing the battery and it's working as it should without having to power it down and back up to get it generating.

If it has been fine since then all good. If it was going to happen it would be far more prevalent when it is wet/damp so it looks like you may have got away with it with just a battery change. Result!

Just a quick update - since changing the battery on this I've not had any further errors.

Nine months on, since the battery change, all is working as it should be.
