Back in the UK with Australian electrician licence.

Hi all
I'm new to the forums but have a very big question that no one has been able to answer. I have moved back to the UK recently after living in Australia for a while. I'm a qualified Australian electrician (fitter / mechanic) but I want to get British standard equivalent qualifications. What would be the best courses or licences for a change over.

As your now back in the UK, you would have been better off posting this question in the General Topics forum.

I can't answer your query, as i'm not up to date with current requirements. What i do know is, that there is no electricians licence system in the UK, ...More's the pity!!

WHat part of the UK you living in? Able skills in Dartford, London are good, it's all about the City & Guilds electrical courses here

I would suggest you contact the JIB.
I have worked with a number of Electricians from Austrailia and NZ, who all obtained JIB cards, which stated on the reverse that their foreign qualifications met British equivilants or something along those lines.
