Does the regs state that the 3 pole isolating switch (required to protect the person carrying out maintenance on bathroom fan) must be accessible in the room that the fan is fitted? (Perhaps "In line of sight" is used?) That would make sense.
If the fan(s) is fitted in a roof space (in-line model) does it still require the 3 pole switch to be in the room or should it (must it) be in the roof space near the fan?
The question is posed because of a student let property where the landlord doesn't want the fans "turned OFF" just by pulling a cord accidentally or because someone doesn't like the noise
