Have a customer asking me for a 2nd opinion on advice they're being given by their SPV installer - and I'm not quite up to speed with solar stuff enough to know.....

They have two arrays, one standard 4kw FIT array and then a slightly smaller array which just adds what it can 'off grid'. Customer wants to install a battery system as well as the complex (domestic) is quite demanding at times and whilst it's green, it's not very cheap!

SPV installer is claiming that the DNO have said they could either have the additional 2nd array OR a battery system - which seems to make no sense to me whatsoever. The place is on it's own dedicated pole tx as it's in the sticks. SPV are currently suggesting a battery system only on the FIT side, customer is thinking they should charge from both arrays for best value. Anyone have any thoughts?
